Place of Origin : China
Brand Name : BSM
The BSM 2BYF series corn planter with fertilizer is designed for agricultural tractors from approximately 20HP to 80HP. It combines furrow opening, fertilizer application, seed placement, soil covering and pressing in one field operation.
The planter is suitable for corn, maize, soybean, sorghum and other crops using similar large seeds. Multiple configurations are available, including 2-row, 3-row, 4-row, 5-row and 6-row models.
Row spacing, seed spacing, planting depth and fertilizer application can be adjusted according to crop type, planting method, local farming conditions and customer requirements.
The planter is connected to the tractor through the rear three-point hitch. During operation, the ground wheels rotate and drive the mechanical seed-metering and fertilizer-metering systems.
The furrow openers create planting furrows at the required depth. Fertilizer is placed near the seed row, while the seed-metering units release seeds at the selected spacing.
After seed placement, the covering and pressing components close the furrow and compact the soil around the seeds. This process helps maintain a consistent planting depth and improves seed contact with the soil.
| Model | Planting Rows | Recommended Tractor | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2BYF-2 | 2 Rows | Approx. 20-35HP | Small farms, narrow fields and compact tractors |
| 2BYF-3 | 3 Rows | Approx. 25-45HP | Small and medium farms |
| 2BYF-4 | 4 Rows | Approx. 35-55HP | General corn and maize planting |
| 2BYF-5 | 5 Rows | Approx. 45-70HP | Medium and large cultivated fields |
| 2BYF-6 | 6 Rows | Approx. 55-80HP | Large fields and higher working efficiency |
Technical note: The matched tractor power above is a reference range. Final tractor matching depends on row spacing, total machine width, machine weight, soil resistance, fertilizer quantity, field slope and tractor lifting capacity.

The planter can complete fertilizer application and precision corn planting in one operation. Seed plates are selected according to seed size and required spacing.
With a suitable seed-metering plate and correct adjustment, the machine can be used for soybean planting.
The planting system can be configured for sorghum and similar large seeds, subject to seed size and planting requirements.
The best planting performance is achieved in fields that have already been ploughed, harrowed or rotary tilled.
A relatively level surface helps the planting units maintain stable depth and consistent seed placement.
The planter can work with a moderate amount of surface residue. Heavy or long crop residue should be chopped or cleared before planting.
Tractor selection should consider engine power, rear lifting capacity, tractor width, tire spacing, machine weight, number of planting rows and local field conditions.
A wider planter requires sufficient tractor lifting capacity and front-to-rear weight balance. Front counterweights may be required for larger 5-row and 6-row models.
The tractor tire spacing should match the planting-row arrangement to avoid pressing planted rows during operation.
Before field operation, the seed plate must be selected according to the crop and seed size. The seed-metering system should be tested manually to confirm that each unit releases seeds smoothly.
Fertilizer output should be calibrated before planting. Excessive fertilizer placed too close to the seed may affect germination, so the fertilizer position and application rate should follow local agronomic requirements.
Planting depth and seed spacing should be checked after a short trial operation. Adjustments should be completed before continuous planting begins.
Completing planting and fertilizer application in one pass reduces repeated tractor travel, saves labour and shortens the field operation time.
The separate seed and fertilizer systems allow both materials to be delivered at controlled rates. Correct placement helps provide nutrients near the developing roots without direct contact between concentrated fertilizer and the seed.
A corn planter places individual seeds at controlled distances. It is suitable for corn, maize, soybean and other crops that require precise plant spacing.
A seed drill usually distributes smaller seeds continuously along the row. It is commonly used for wheat, barley, grass and similar crops.
For compacted land, the field can first be loosened with a subsoiler. A plough or disc harrow may then be used for primary soil preparation, followed by a rotary tiller for fine seedbed preparation.
After the soil surface is prepared, the 2BYF corn planter can complete planting and fertilizer application. A row crop cultivator can later be used for inter-row weeding, soil loosening and ridging.
The 2BYF series shown on this page is designed for tractors from approximately 20HP to 80HP. Final matching depends on the number of rows, machine weight, soil conditions and tractor lifting capacity.
Yes. The planter has separate seed and fertilizer systems and can complete planting and fertilizer application during the same operation.
Yes. The planting units can be repositioned along the main frame according to the required row spacing and machine configuration.
Yes. Seed spacing can be changed by adjusting the seed-metering transmission or selecting the appropriate metering configuration.
Yes. The machine can plant soybean when equipped with a suitable seed plate and correctly adjusted seed-metering system.
The standard mechanical seed and fertilizer metering systems are normally driven by the planter ground wheels, so tractor PTO power is generally not required.
